Gymnadenia odoratissima

Photographed Bavaria, 21 July 1998

Negative number 98r23a

As its name suggests this orchid is more strongly scented than Gymnadenia conopsea. The species are easy to tell apart as G. odoratissima has flowers that are much smaller and there is a difference in the shape of the labellum. This species is also much less common and is usually found only on mountains.
