 Clustered lady's slipper

Photographed July 11th 2000 CO, USA

Negative number 00I14a

As its name implies this species can produce clusters of  flowers. The height of this species is 1.5 to 7 inches (3.5 - 18 cm). The flowers are small - 25 - 50 mm from tip to tip. The leaves however are usually much bigger than the flowers and are readily visible. This species lacks the exuberance of the other N American Cypripediums. It occurs in N America in California, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Washington & Wyoming.
